Wales’ supporters at the home of Welsh sport will be urged to join together for a special rendition of Bread of Heaven at half time during Wales’ final RBS 6 Nations showdown against France.
Over 74,000 fans will be invited to unite in song for the unique recording which will be available to purchase the next day via iTunes and at Tesco stores throughout Wales.
With Wales in a great position to win the Six Nations title and a bumper crowd expected for the clash against Les Bleus, it is hoped that the fans will help “The Voice of the Nation” enter the music charts after the big game this weekend.
WRU Head of Sales and Marketing Craig Maxwell is excited about this new and exclusive opportunity for the fans. He said: “All fans at the Millennium Stadium this weekend will get the opportunity to be part of The Voice of the Nation to mark what we hope will be a winning day for Wales to be remembered in the history of Welsh rugby.
“To make Wales’ 2012 Championship extra special, we’re calling on the support of all our fans to get hold of their copy of the official WRU single and get the traditional sound of Welsh rugby at the Millennium Stadium into the music charts for the first time.”
The WRU will donate all profits due to the WRU to the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.
