In the pack the Blues welcome back No 8 Andries Pretorius who plays his first game since facing Racing Metro in the Heineken Cup in November. The young South African has recovered from a knee injury and is joined in the back row by Josh Navidi at openside.
There are two changes in the backs with Chris Czekaj replacing Ben Blair at full back and Harry Robinson replacing Tom James on the wing.
Speaking of the game, Andries Pretorius said: “I’m really looking forward to being back on the pitch after such a long lay off. It’s unbelievably frustrating being on the sidelines but I’ve been working hard with our conditioning and coaching staff to set myself goals to be able to come back.”
“I’ve also had the chance to work on some upper body work and been staying positive. It’s very early days, as I only started running a few weeks ago, so I’m not where I’d like to be, as I set myself high standards.”
“However, it will be good to get one last game before the end of the season. I’m also glad to have the opportunity to play alongside people such as Gethin and Maama who I’ve learnt so much from during my time at the Blues.
“Just watching these guys train you learn so much as they are quality players.”
The Scarlets have won their last four games against Cardiff Blues in all competitions, but being the final game for Laulala, Molitika, Jenkins, Yapp, Rees and Parks there is a determination to finish on a high.
