The tournament, set up in memory of former Welsh Coach Colin Hillman, takes place on Sunday August 26 . Kick-off is at 11am at the South Wales Police Rugby Ground in Waterton Cross, Bridgend.

Bridgend Sports, Bridgend Athletic I, Bridgend Athletic II, Glaze Charity 7, Kenfig Hill, Maesteg, Nantymoel, South Wales Police Hillman 7, Dinas Powys and Samurai Sharks are all competing to win the competition for the first time.

Hillman, a Welsh Sevens legend and former policeman, also played for the Barbarians, Bridgend and Swansea in a colourful career.

After his death in 2009, a sevens tournament has been organised in Hillman’s memory. All proceeds raised from the day will go to the Y Bwthyn Newydd Macmillan Specialist Care Unit at the Princes of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.
