Other touchdowns came from wing Gareth Jones, lock Geraint Thomas, Johnny Morris and Mark Cox while Neil Burnett landed five conversions. Pooler did manage a try in either half, but they still remain rooted at the bottom of the division without a victory.
Ebbw Vale recorded their sixth successive victory by defeating Blackwood 32-17 at Glan yr Afan Park, netting four tries for a bonus point. Hooker Josh Clarke went over for his first try in Blackwood colours and wing Nicky Williams also touched down for the losers.
Bargoed kept up the pace at the top with five tries in their 40-16 victory over Llanharan to make it six wins in a row. Wing Lee Pearson (2), Gareth Dare, James Pizey and James Howe claimed touchdowns for the winners while outside half Josh Prosser kicked three conversions and three penalties. Scrum half Tom Morley went over in the first half for the Dairymen and Cody Rees added the rest of the points with the boot.
Beddau and Glamorgan Wanderers fought out a 15-15 draw at Mount Pleasant Park with the home side coming back from a 13-3 half time deficit. Wing Ed Dow crossed in the opening period for Wanderers and outside half Ianto Griffiths converted and landed a brace of penalties.
Tata Steel won 23-9 at Bonymaen, but they needed two penalty tries, both converted by Gareth Walters, to break the home resistance, while Narberth won the Pembrokeshire derby at Whitland, 24-8.
Cardiff Met also benefited by a penalty try, but it was not enough for the Students as Bridgend Athletic ran out 17-10 winners thanks to a Simon Mustoe try and four Steve Lewis penalties.
