Swansea welcome Carmarthen Quins to St Helens on Saturday as the two sides meet for the second week running.

Mefin Davies’ side will be looking for revenge after they fell to a heavy 41-17 defeat against the Quins in the British & Irish Cup last Friday night.

The Quins go into the game in a fine run of form and although they got the better of the All Whites last weekend, they have never won at St Helens.

Their record against Swansea is not one to be proud of although they did get the better of them in last year’s home fixture.

Swansea have had a disappointing opening to the campaign and go into their clash with Carmarthen bottom of the Premiership table. They did have a good win over Dundee in the British & Irish Cup though, eventually running out 43-17 winners.

They failed to follow up that result with a win over the Quins though in last week’s cup meeting and their inconcistency must be of huge frustration to Davies.

After a fine win last weekend, Quins will be confident of securing a first ever win at St Helens though the home side will make it far from easy for them.
