Trevett is one of six changes to the pack. Aaron Fowler and Simon Gardiner make up a completely changed front row while Matthew Screech, Ellis Jenkins and Dan Crimmins come into the new look second and back rows.
With Macauley Cook and Dan Fish involved for Cardiff Blues in their clash with Munster, Martyn Fowler makes a number of changes.
In the backs, Gareth Davies again starts at fly-half. After passing 1000 points for Cardiff last weekend, he will be looking to add to that tally. Richard Smith comes into the centre and is replaced on the wing by Steve Cullen. Will Thomas moves to fullback to fill the gap left by Fish’s move up to the Blues.
For Neath, Prop Nicky Downs leads the side after regular skipper Gareth Gravell was involved in a motor accident earlier in the week. He is likely to miss a couple of games, compounding the Welsh All Blacks’ injury problems.
Elsewehere, it is all change in the back-row where Lee Evans, Rhys Jones and Matthew Rees all start. Lee Williams comes into the second row and Elliot Jones plays on the wing with Chris Morgans reverting to scrum-half.
“We were far from our best last week but still created sufficient chances to have at least shared the spoils with Bridgend,” said Neath Coach Patrick Horgan.
“Our preparations have been hit by injuries and flu in the camp but we are looking for all-round improvement against Cardiff.”
