The Duke, Patron of the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust and The Duchess met injured former players who are beneficiaries of the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust before the game and at half time, met referees belonging to the WRU Referees Academy.

Despite both The Duke and Duchess showing their support for Wales by wearing red, they were unable to inspire the home side to victory at the Millennium Stadium.

A devastating first half performance from the All Blacks was enough to see them to a 10-33 win as they ran in three tries in total.

Wales responded heroically after half time, scoring twice themselves through Scott Williams and Alex Cuthbert but by then the game was up.
