The closest to a surprise was when Swalec Division Six East’s New Panteg came within a score of upsetting Brynithel of Five East before going down 23-21.
In the Plate’s second round, high flying Waunarlywydd of One West almost were victim to an incredible shock against Division Three South West’s Mumbles away from home. The fans saw a tense encounter between the both sides but the away team narrowly won 36-30. Mountain Ash of One East, avoided a shock on home soil but they overcame Two East’s Llantrisant 29-28.
