Strange’s team ran in five tries with captain Keiran Williams bagging a brace and Corrie Tarrant, Dane Blacker and Jack Pope also getting in on the act.
Strange was left delighted with the win that put Wales into second place in the tournament standings.
He said: “I thought the players were outstanding throughout the 80 minutes, it was a really good performance.
“We played some excellent rugby, and were rewarded for a lot of commitment.
“Some of the defensive sets on our own line in the first half were outstanding. This is a really good group of players to coach and we are just trying to get better. We built against Scotland, and this was another step up.”
Wales have ran in 154 points in the junior tournament so far, with 13 tries coming in their last two games against Scotland and Ireland.
Ospreys centre Williams has been instrumental for the Welsh running in four tries in those two games, taking his overall championship tally to five.
“Keiran is a player with a huge amount of commitment,” Strange said said. “He’s a real competitive animal, and he showed that again. I thought he was outstanding. He’s a quality player.”
Williams echoed his coach’s thoughts on the victory and reckons his team have responded well since the defeat to England in round two.
He said: “We set the tone from the first minute. We were fantastic and hopefully we can take this on to the next game. I thought we could have won the championship easily, but after the England game we bounced back with two wins.
“In the last two games I think we’ve been fantastic. It’s great to be a part of a side like this and it makes me proud to be part of a team with this sort of skill and talent.”
