Stalwart Adam Thomas captains the side, while the team welcomes a new face in Joe Jenkins. A product of the University of Queensland, Jenkins was identified through the WRU Exiles programme, and since February has been developing his game between Ospreys and Wales Sevens. He earns a call-up after a Player of the Tournament performance for the Wales Sevens Development Squad at the Centrale 7s last week.
Several of Wales’ players have shone this season thanks to a strong team work ethic. Heading into London this weekend, Sam Cross leads the DHL Series Performance Tracker, while Ethan Davies tops the points charts on 249 (a single point ahead of England’s Tom Mitchell).Â
Lloyd Evans and Owen Jenkins, consistently effective throughout the season, are joined by Newport Gwent Dragons duo Lloyd Lewis and James Benjamin, both of whom have benefited from a consistent run within the squad at the latter stage of the campaign.Â
A latecomer to the team this season, Billy McBryde will be out to continue his strong series of impactful displays, and Cory Allen – who received a recent call-up to the national squad for their summer tour – is set to do likewise.Â
Wing Luke Morgan is man who knows how to make up for lost time, returning halfway through the season after a lengthy injury lay-off to extend his record try-scoring tally for Wales to 84 – fast closing in on a rare century of tries. Young North Walian Tom Williams is also back in the side as Wales seek to finish the season on a high at the home of English rugby.Â
