That was their first outing of the year and since then they have beaten England twice, Scotland, Canada and South Africa. Their only defeat since then was a 38-36 reverse to Ireland at Parc y Scarlets.

Ospreys duo Cai Evans and Harri Morgan return at half-back, while Tomi Lewis, a try scorer in the 14-12 win over England, moves to the right wing to allow Dylan Moss to return in the No 15 jersey. The rotation process has been continued by head coach Lewis.

He made five changes to the starting XV for the game against England and has made a further 11 changes to the side to meet the French from Tuesday’s triumph over the English team. The French lost 24-8 to England in their opening match, but recovered to beat the South African Schools side 13-8 earlier in the week with tries from Alban Roussel and Maxence Lemardelet.
