The all Championship clash should be an entertaining game and it’s one the Wanderers are looking forward to.
“Cup rugby always brings a new dimension despite it being against a league opponent such as Blackwood,” said Manager Luke Burton.
“They were victorious against us recently but it was a game we felt we should have won. It’s a close one to call”
“Despite the weather we’ve made use of the time wisely. There should not be any excuses on the fitness front. Both sides will probably be a little ring rusty, the side who makes the least mistakes will probably prevail” added head coach Matthew Bolton.
For the second trip to Blackwood in 6 weeks the Wanderers stick with the squad selected in the recently cancelled fixtures.
The backs see one change with Owen Marshall stepping off the bench to start on the wing and up front Steff Simpson starts at loosehead with Will Higgins joining the starting lineup for the first time after several impressive performances for the development squad.
With the extra players on the bench, fit again Dan Richards and Mike Stephens join the squad after injuries picked up earlier this season.
