In other results in Division One, Waunarlwydd and Llangennech enjoyed comfortable home victories and lie third and fourth respectively.
Waunarlwydd beat Ammanford 41-20 who now have lost their tenth game of the season. Home side Llangennech overcame the challenge of a Kenfig Hill side that haven’t played a league match in five weeks. The result ended 24-7 to the home team.The other result in Division One West saw Glynneath defeat Carmarthen Athletic 17-15.
Penclawdd moved up a vital,place in the relgation zone from second from bottom to third from bottom of Division Two West after their comprehensive victory over Aberystwyth. Their six tries gave them the deserved bonus point in a 30-12 result. Maesteg narrowly defeated Dunvant 20-19.
In Division Three West, Amman United extended their lead at the top of the standings after their 33-10 home win over Tenby United. The team below them, Newcastle Emlyn lost their third game of the campaign after their away defeat to third place Gorseinon. That result ended 28-13 with Gorseinon gaining that crucial away point.
Meanwhile, Llanelli Wanderers collected their tenth win of the season, thrashing strugglers Milford Haven 53-20. On-form Llandeilo won their third consecutive match, beating bottom side Pontyberem 34-12. Pontarddulais beat Cardigan 25-18.
The most significant result of the day has come from Division Five West as Neyland won their first game of the season, narrowly defeating Furnace United 28-27. This bonus point victory means they are back to getting positive points after receiving a hefty point deduction punishment earlier in the season. Burry Port, who have also endured a horrific season thus far have also some reason to celebrate after they won their second match of the season. They beat Betws 20-8/
