The WRU has a new state-of-the-art travelling store and information point which will be visiting all the big festivals in Wales over the next few months beginning with a week-long stay on site of the Royal Welsh, which last year attracted an attendance of 241,099.
Show visitors will be able to sample the latest offerings from the official WRU Supporters Club, which currently boasts approximately 10,000 members, access all the usual official merchandise as well as get interactive with WRU development officers who will also be conducting coaching sessions daily.
The WRU will have up to eight staff on site throughout the week with regular practical rugby sessions taking place in the sports arena throughout each day and visitors to its stand encouraged to celebrate the recent successes of Welsh rugby – in the 2013 RBS 6 Nations and for the large Welsh contingent on the successful British and Irish Lions tour to Australia this summer.
The next stop on the road will be a trip down to South Wales for the Caerphilly Cheese Festival at the end of July, before the WRU experience goes back up north for the National Eisteddfod in Denbighshire for the first week in August.
To complete the set, on the 10 August the WRU trailer will visit the Bedwas festival before appearing on site at the Pembrokeshire show from 13th – 15th August.
