Tickets for this November’s campaign against South Africa, Argentina, Tonga and Australia went on public sale last month and Davies spent Wednesday lunchtime surprising some lucky fans who had bought tickets by visiting their homes around Carmarthenshire
“It went really well,” said Davies.
“We dropped tickets off all around Carmarthen and got round a good few supporters.
“A couple of supporters weren’t in but everyone we met seemed pretty pleased and surprised at seeing myself and a WRU camera crew on their doorstep.
“It was good to meet them all and they all wished us luck for the campaign.”
Warren Gatland’s side kick-off the Dove Men Series against South Africa on November 9th and Davies is looking forward to returning to the Millennium Stadium.
“All the boys will be excited at being back in Cardiff and playing at the Millennium Stadium,” said the Scarlets centre.
“It’s the best place to play rugby in the world and it will be great to be back in front of our own fans.
“I’m really pleased with the way things have gone for me recently and I’m looking forward to a big year.
“After a Lions tour it’s important we kick on and push forward and we need to continue the standards we set in the Six Nations.
“It’s a tough series but we will be excited and ready for it.”
Scarlets and Wales fan John McLean was one of those to receive the special delivery and said:
“I was expecting the postman to turn up with them so it was certainly a surprise to see Jonathan on my doorstep with the tickets in his hand.
“It was great to see him and a great way to receive the tickets!
“I’m really looking forward to November and I hope we will be as exciting and as effective as we have been recently.”
