The draw was made by WRU President Dennis Gethin at the Millennium Stadium after six clubs guessed Wales’ 122 Six Nations points correctly.

“It gives me great pleasure to confirm that Brecon Rugby Club will be the recipients of the Millennium Stadium scoreboard,” Mr Gethin said. “The club has a rich rugby tradition and it is fitting they’ll be receiving a permanent memento of Welsh rugby history for their own home ground.”

Ron Rowsell, Honorary Secretary at Brecon RFC said: “The Club is absolutely delighted that we will be the proud recipients of the digital scoreboard. Our old scoreboard was in need of repair and we jumped at the opportunity of take part in a competition to win a piece of equipment that once graced the iconic Millennium Stadium. We participated in hope rather than expectation and so the news has been received as a very pleasant surprise. The Club is proud of its history as a founder member of the Union and this new addition to our facilities will serve to reinforce the link with the Union that was first established 133 years ago.”
