Tickets will go on general sale 12-29 September for the Tournament which brings eight games including two of Wales’ pool games to the Millennium Stadium.

England Rugby 2015, Organising Committee for Rugby World Cup 2015, has launched ‘the ultimate team talk’  – a two minute film, directed by Peter Cattaneo (Director of the Full Monty) and led by actor Charles Dance, most recently credited for his role in Game of Thrones.

Dance, a big rugby fan, delivers his rallying cry to a team of current international rugby stars and legends, fans from across the country, referees, mascots, and a host of other characters who will play their part in the Tournament hosted in England and in Cardiff next year.

Other rugby stars appearing in the film include Alex Corbisiero, Dylan Hartley, Joe Launchbury and Tom Wood (England), Ashley Johnson (South Africa), Jebb Sinclair (Canada), Halani Alukia (Tonga), Andrea Masi, Lorenzo Cittadini (Italy), David Denton and Matt Scott (Scotland).

Also joining the players likely to compete for the Webb Ellis Cup, the greatest prize in rugby, in just over 12 months’ time, are the Millennium Stadium groundsmen ThomasSully and Craig Campbell, members of Royal Welsh Regiment band and former Wales captain Scott Quinnell.

Welsh Rugby Union Chairman David Pickering, who is on the board of Rugby World Cup Ltd, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many significant Welsh faces alongside players from other great rugby nations and the renowned actor Charles Dance in the film that launches tickets going on sale for the Rugby World Cup 2015.

“The road to Rugby World Cup begins now for Wales as they prepare to take on the greatest rugby nations in the upcoming Dove Men Series and RBS 6 Nations this season. Tickets to this season’s games at the Millennium Stadium and Rugby World Cup games in 2015 will be in great demand throughout the nation and I’m sure this exciting film will whet the appetite of those with one eye already on world rugby’s greatest Tournament.”

The film uses strong imagery of players and fans to celebrate rugby and its character-building values as well as the unforgettable experience of attending a Rugby World Cup match in order to target both rugby and major event fans.

With the world’s best 20 teams competing in 48 matches, played at 13 venues the length and breadth of England and in Cardiff, Rugby World Cup 2015 will be a nationwide celebration of rugby.

With 2.3 million tickets available and up to one million tickets going on general sale this month the campaign strapline ‘Too Big To Miss’ describes the size, scale and stature of Rugby World Cup 2015.

England Rugby 2015 CEO, Debbie Jevans, commented: “We are excited to launch the ticketing campaign and begin the build up to tickets going on sale for the Rugby World Cup 2015. Up to one million tickets will go on sale from September 12, offering the opportunity to be part of one of the world’s biggest sporting events, and watch the best players in the world compete for rugby’s top prize. Tickets are at a range of prices starting at £7 for children and £15 for adults and we look forward to welcoming everyone to the event next year.”
