Last September the Quins played their first game of 2013/14 away to Bridgend and were comfortable winners by 45-20 on the day.
Bridgend will be determined to avenge last year’s result and put their opening match behind them at home this weekend.
The Quins have made a couple of changes as they seek to replicate last season’s outstanding form away from home.
Wing Gavin Thomas starts in place of Chris Banfield in the only change to the backs, whilst in the forwards Ellis Lloyd comes in for James Davies and Gethin Robinson starts for Ian Jones who drops to the bench. Shaun Jones, Lee Taylor, Rhodri Wells and Kieron Jones are also on the bench.
The Ravens started their campaign at Cardiff, but were handsomely defeated by the capital side. Cardiff ran in eight tries to comprehensively beat the Ravens (52-27). Although the Ravens ran in three tries of their own, they came up just short of taking a four try bonus point from the game after some late attacking.
Bridgend make a few changes to the side that played at Cardiff in a bid to stop Quins winning their fifth straight game against them at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field. Tom Habberfield returns to Ravens colours and James Dixon returns from injury to start at full back.
