With a gate of 58,235 for the historic 12-6 win over South Africa today, the total attendance for the matches this month was (248,015) – a 9% growth on the last two years.
The gate of 73,450 for the game against New Zealand was the biggest November crowd since the All Blacks were in the Welsh capital in 2010. The 61,326 for the Fijian fixture was the biggest attendance for a game against a Pacific Islands side since Fiji were here in 2005.
With just short of a quarter of a million coming through the gates it means the average gate for each game was 62,003. That compares with Ireland’s average for their three fixtures this month of 47,418 (142,256) and Scotland’s 40,096 (120,290) for their three matches. France attracted 170,300 to their three matches this month at an average of 56,766.
