The Blues are undefeated in their four outings and will look to hold on to their record at the Arms Park (7.15) against a Dragons side who have only won once to date this season. Ospreys must beat top of the table Scarlets at St Helens (7.15) to have the best chance of competing for a place in the final at the end of the month.
WRU National Performance Manager Gethin Watts said, “This competition continues to pit the best players against their peers on this crucial part of the performance pathway. It is a fantastic development tool for the youngsters and a great way to observe players’ qualities in a competitive situation as international pathway staff prepare to select the Wales Under 18 squad for the international season ahead.”
The Blues are in home action again on Sunday and next Wednesday as they take on RGC (Sunday, 2.30) and Ospreys respectively, both at the Arms Park. The Dragons host the Scarlets at Ystrad Mynach next Wednesday and the final round of league matches sees Ospreys host Dragons (St Helens) and the Blues travel to Parc y Scarlets on Wednesday 21 January. The top two sides will then face each other in the WRU Under 18 Regional final on Wednesday 28 January.
