The two represent the only unbeaten sides left in the 2016 RBS 6 Nations, with England top of the table after three games, one point clear of Wales, who drew their opening encounter against Ireland.
Jenkins explains that the fixture holds huge importance for both sides:
“It is probably a do or die guess for us no doubt, we have to win it and cannot afford to lose it,” said Jenkins.
“It is a stadium that we have won games in and beaten very good England sides in the past.
“It is tough game and a tough place to go but certainly there is a lot more confidence in the team today than from when I played to go there and win.”
The hosts yesterday named Manu Tuilagi in their training squad for the match, leading to the possibility of him facing up to Jamie Roberts in a battle of the centres.
Roberts has been a leading performer for Wales throughout the tournament, including a man of the match performance and a crucial try in a 27-23 home win over Scotland.
Jenkins says he is not surprised to see Tualagi involved, and that a potential match-up between the pair would be one of intense physicality.
“Tualagi is a fantastic rugby player, a class act – as soon as he was fit there was no doubt he would be back in their squad,” added Jenkins.
“They are two big men, two physical rugby players, who both only go one way on a rugby pitch, which is forward.
“It would be a fair old physical battle if they came up against each other as they have done in the past.”
