The event will be a double header, with a match between England students and Wales students kicking off at 5.15pm, before the main event begins. Bath Rugby Club, Cardiff Rugby Club, Clifton Rugby Club and Bristol Shoguns are helping the club promote the event, along with Bristol University and UWE. All of the above clubs will be selling tickets for the event, whilst you can also purchase tickets direct from Ashton Gate by calling 0117 9666666.
Tickets are priced at £12 for adults, £8 for OAPs, £5 for students and under-19s and only £1 for under-16s. Tickets are now on general sale as mentioned above – and will also be on sale via www.bcfc.co.uk shortly.
City’s Chief Executive Colin Sexstone told www.bcfc.co.uk: “This is a superb opportunity for five professional clubs, together with Bristol University and UWE, to promote top-class rugby in the West of England.
“Ashton Gate is a magnificent arena and will allow 20,000+ spectators to watch the game in comfort. Hopefully, this will be the first of a series of big events at Ashton Gate.”
The match should prove to be a great draw for rugby followers on both sides of the Bristol Channel, and facilties will be in place to support the full range of fans – from special deals for schools and clubs to high quality hospitality for businesses.
