Pontypridd travel to Swansea where both teams will be looking for their first win of their Super League campaigns. Pontypridd will want to secure a victory after losing their first two games against UWIC and North Wales in the dying minutes. Welsh International, Lowena Sandercock has transferred from Swansea to Pontypridd bringing further experience to the Ponty back line.
Newport are at home to UWIC. The Newport side contains the experienced internationals, Dawn Mason and Louise Rickard, who have both decided to change positions this season. Mason formerly a prop and Rickard a centre, are both vying for the open-side flanker position. Newport also contains some exciting youngsters in the form of U19s scrum-half Becky Davies of Brecon and Blaenau Gwent’s centre partnership of Christie Thompson and Kim Boaler, all of whom will be making early bids for inclusion in the Wales U19s squad playing Canada and USA in Florida next February.
