In my eyes, it’s a tragedy learning of Scott’s retirement. I was looking forward to seeing the big man in action against the Kiwis next week and I think Scott will be sorely missed. Great man. Great player. Good luck with club form and personal life! Mark Gardner
This is really good that I can send you a message. Just wanted to say how sorry I am to see you’ve retired from international rugby. I have greatly enjoyed your part in Welsh rugby and will miss seeing you playing for Wales. I was unfortunate enough to miss the Canada game due to being in university in Newcastle and am therefore very happy to be able to show my appreciation through this medium. Anyway, as I’ve said, I’m sorry to see you end your international career but thank you for what you have done in the past. Thank you. Alexandra Davies
It was my second international rugby match at the stadium and I had to say the crowd were great and it was great to see you back on that pitch. The whole crowd couldn’t wait to see you walk on the pitch and you deserved every moment of applause you had. You have been an inspiration to others and I think I am right in saying the whole of Wales is behind your decision Good luck and have fun. We will miss you xxx. Karen
Sorry to see you go. You’ve been the outstanding Welsh player of the last nine years. As No 8’s go there is no one better in world rugby. Enjoy your retirement. It’s just a pity I won’t be able to see you play for Wales next year down here in New Zealand. Sean Murphy
Thanks for all the times you turned out for Wales, good luck with the rest of your playing days at Llanelli. Let’s hope a third generation will carry on the name Quinnell in the future. All the best to you and the family. Phil Paterson
Congratulations on a most successful career, you have really made a difference! You will be missed as a player! Ali

Good luck for the future, Scott! You have been an inspiration to me for the last few years and I truly believe you are one of the best No 8’s Wales has ever had! You will be sadly missed from the Millennium Stadium! Once again, good luck! A sad Welshman Matthew Armstrong
Scott, sorry to see you leave the international arena in which you have brought so much pride to Wales. Your commitment and leadership will be greatly missed. Best wishes to you and your family, from a former Carmarthen ex-pat currently following Wales from China, which isn’t easy. Neil Davies
I am writing to say that I respect you for all the hard work you have put in to play rugby! You will be missed and all the best for the future! Emma xxx

And what will you best remember Scott for? Was it his debut? One of his many tries? His feats for the British Lions? Or, heaven forbid, his rugby league days?
