Press Statement From Wru And Premier Division Clubs
The Welsh Rugby Union and Premier Division Clubs would like to issue the following statement following their Management Board meeting this morning:
Discussions between the two sides were amicable and far ranging. Both parties expressed a will to ensure that the future shape of the senior professional game in Wales should be agreed upon as quickly as is possible.
The Premier Clubs have agreed to draw up their own vision within the next seven days and will present them when the Board next meets on the 19th December 2002.
Both parties have agreed that, in the mean-time, no further comments will be made.
