An injury to Ramiro Pez’s calf opens the door for veteran Diego Dominguez to make himself available. The Argentinian-born goal-kicker originally pulled out of Italy’s opening two Six Nations matches after suffering from concussion in a French Championship match but he got his call-up on Sunday after making a full recovery and scoring all of his club Stade Francais’s 15 points in their victory over Montferrand.
His international points tally is bettered only by Neil Jenkins and with Jenkins out of the Six Nations with a broken thumb, Dominguez will be
confident of beating that record.
