One of the finest forwards of his generation, Dallaglio served as England captain on 14 occasions until he was forced to resign the position in May 1999 after a tabloid scandal.
Dallaglio can play any position in the back row, playing in all three back row positions for club and country.
He excelled at blindside for the Lions in all three of the Tests against the Springboks in 1997.
A serious knee injury wrecked his 2001 season, and with it his chances of touring with the lions in 2001. But now back to full fitness, the Wasps back row man has formed a solid partnership with former Wales captain Rob Howley this season
