‘The cup is over and now we have to concentrate on the league which we have got a great chance of winning,” said Bridgend chief executive Adrian Hadley.
‘It would be great to be the last winners of the Welsh Premiership and there’s no reason why it can’t be us.’
Bridgend have a 100 percent record in this year’s Welsh Premiership, with seven wins.
Meanwhile Caerphilly coach Mark Ring has followed up on his threat to name a second-string for tonight’s game against Bridgend at Virginia Park.
Ring was angry the Premiership match was scheduled only four days before Saturday’s crucial Parker Pen Shield semi-final against Italian side Petrarca Padova and has rested his first XV.
He has named a squad of 19 for the match, with 12 likely to play their debut senior game. Ring has included 44-year-old prop Rob Bilton in the squad.
Bridgend: M James; P Jones, D Bishop, J Taumalola, C Warlow; S Mannix, H Harries; P Booth, B Phillips, J Thiel, R Jones, N Budgett, O Lloyd, S van Rensburg, M Molitika. Replacements: J Donovan, A Joy, C Richards, G Cull, G Thomas, M Powell, C Harris.
