Caerphilly saved themselves the indignity of finishing bottom of the Welsh Premiership thanks to a 30-yard drop goal form replacement centre Jarrod Murphy in a thrilling match at
The Castletown men took the lead in the first half with converted tries from Roddy Boobyer, Taumaholo Taufahema and Allen Chilten after Ebbw had taken an early lead through tries from Meenan and Mitchell.
In the second-half, Ebbw took the lead through a converted try from Will Thomas and a penalty from Scott Mitchell.
However the last word was left to Murphy whose drop goal on the hour sealed the game for the PARKER PEN SHIELD finalists.
Coach Mark Ring said: “The players just keep amazing me with their attitude and their honest.
“We showed last night our fighting spirit, and we hope that we have learned enough of the course of this campaign to be competitive in the final next week.”
