Match officials have viewed the tape of the Phil John/Duncan Jones incident which took place during the Llanelli versus Neath game at Stradey Park last Saturday.
As a result officials have decided to cite Phil John of Llanelli Rugby Club and both clubs have been informed.
The matter will now be referred to the WRU disciplinary committee and Llanelli have 14 days to respond before that committee is convened.
