With three games left in the Championship – starting against England in Cardiff on Saturday – North should reach his century milestone before the end of the Guinness Six Nations.
Of course, the 28-year-old has already broken into three figures when you include his three Tests with the British &Irish Lions.
In fact, he broke Michael Hooper’s record as the youngest player to reach that landmark when he came on as a replacement in the Autumn Nations Cup clash with Ireland in Dublin on November 13.
Australian captain Hooper reached three figures the day before North in a Bledisloe Cup match with New Zealand when he was 28 years and 348 days old.
North was 28 years and 119 days then and will be 28 years and 310 days old if he brings up his Welsh century against England.
Already the youngest try scorer in the history of the Rugby World Cup from 2011, he is one try short of Shane Williams’ Six Nations record of 21 and 16 short of his Welsh best overall of 58.
Wales head coach Wayne Pivac is hoping his team can keep on improving after they beat Ireland in Cardiff and Scotland away in rounds one and two of the 2021 Championship.

“As we must, we’ll look to keep improving the performance,” Pivac said.
“England will pose a different challenge. We fully respect the side they have and the threats they will pose.
“We’d expect to be improving every time we take the field.”
Speaking after his team’s 24-25 over Scotland, Pivac added: “What we did in the autumn is well-documented. It was with a view to the World Cup and building some depth.
“The atmosphere in the group and the environment in training is a very good one. The senior players are leading very well.
“The guys are enjoying coming to work, I think, and we’re certainly enjoying working with them. It’s a real squad effort and I’m pleased.
“There is a long way to go, but we’re certainly happy to have those nine points.”
