The clash of the night saw The Dragons take on the Scarlets at Rodney Parade in a top-of-the-table tussle.

The Dragons remain unbeaten at home this year in this competition after registering a 15-9 win. The result sees them keep pace with league leaders Ulster.

Ulster had a home tie against the Ospreys, and beat the visiting Welshmen 31-19 to keep themselves on top of the table.

Resurgent Cardiff, bubbling after a 50-10 win over Edinburgh last week, made it three wins in a row as they send Glasgow back to Scotland with a 29-19 reverse at the Arms Park.

On Sunday, the Warriors, who dispatched Connacht 40-17 last weekend, welcome Scottish strugglers The Borders to Wales.
