PRESS RELEASE

The Women’s Six Nations Committee met on the 4th March 2004 in Cardiff to consider the matter of the anti-doping process used at the match between Spain and England on the 15th February 2004.

The committee following the IRB’s regulation 21 on Anti Doping agreed to refer the matter to an independent review panel for their recommendations.

A further Press Statement will be issued once the review panel has made it’s recommendations.

The committee wishes to stress that this is a matter of procedure rather than there being any suggestion of an illegal substance being taken.
