DIVISION ONE.
Whitland made ground on leaders Maesteg with a 32-5 win over Fleur de Lys, whose skipper was sent off for alleged stamping early in the first half. Aled Davies scored 17 points for the winners.

Llangennech stay in third after speedy young wing Mike Davies scored two tries and Mark Jones collected 17 points in a 32-19 win over Builth Wells, while Narberth needed a last-minute Elgan Vittle try to win 18-13 at Blackwood.

Glamorgan Wanderers had 12 points, including a try, by full back Mike Haywood in a 22-13 win over Bonymaen and lively young Beddau notched five tries as they defeated Bridgend Athletic 34-12.

Carmarthen Athletic ran in eight tries in a 58-5 away win at bottom club Brynmawr, while UWIC led all the way in a 31-25 Konica Minolta Cup success at Rumney’s Riverside Park.

DIVISION TWO.
East leaders Newport Saracens fell to an amazing 36-7 home loss agaqinst fast-improving Llantwit Fardre, while Ystrad Rhondda joined them on nine wins after a good 27-13 success at Llantrisant.

In the West, leaders Waunarlwydd couldn’t score a try, but still won 12-9 at Kidwelly in a dour battle, but second-placed Cwmllynfell stayed in step after winning 43-19 at bottom club Tondu.

DIVISION THREE.
Bargoed remain unbeaten after their twelfth successive victory in the East, but were fully extended before gaining a 14-3 success on Cardiff’s Llanrumney Park against the Old Illtydians. Pill Harriers remained in second place after putting bottom club Dinas Powys to the sword, while Rhymney bounced back after completing the double over Llanishen.

Loughor gained their 13th successive win in the West, but struggled to overcome Tenby United 14-3 aqnd there were wins for Gorseinon and Pembroke Dock Quins behind them, but the biggest surprise was when Cardigan gained their first points of the season after a 15-14 success over Haverfordwest.

In the South-East, third-placed Ruthin had their splendid run ended at Mountain Ash with a 31-5 defeat, while Rhydyfelin remained unbeaten with a 11th success win gained in a tight 19-10 game at Abercwmboi.

Maesteg Quins and Alltwen came out of the pack to lead the South-West with the Quins defeating Aberavon Quins 24-5 and Alltwen upsetting former leaders Bryncoch 21-8. Ammaford made a mighty effort to win 10-7 at Vardre.

DIVISION FOUR.
Upset of the day was when West leaders Amman Utd fell 15-0 away to Llandybie and second-placed Nyland almost came unstuck before winning 10-8 at Gowerton.

Pontllanfraith swept ahead in the east with a mighty 50-10 thrashing of Oakdale as former Wales Youth fly half Julian Vernall collected 30 points. Defeats for Monmouth and Crumlin mean that Pontllanfraith now lead by six points.

Fairwater gained their 13th successive win in the South-East as they held off a game Dowlais 32-22 and lead Aberdare by nine points, though the latter defeated Llantwit Major 22-14. In the South-West, Resolven remained six points clear of Tonna, though the latter have two games in hand. Both clubs gained away victories.

Only two matches survived in the North with Pwllheli defeating Rhyl 53-8 and Denbigh holding off Newtown by 26-19, though Llandudno-Caernarfon started, before rain caused the match to be abandoned.

DIVISION FIVE.
Rain hampered the North games in particular, though leaders Bala swept away Bangor by 65-0, while in the South-West, an injury to the referee caused an early halt to the BP Llandarcy-Glyncorrwg. Leaders Abercrave kept up their fine run by defeating Baglan 36-8.

Nantyglo are the only unbeaten club in Five and remained so after a tight 14-6 win away to Abertillery BG in the East. Two converted first-half tries saw them home, though the great Abertillery veteran Mark Williams kicked two second-half penalties.

Despite a 6-5 loss at Tycroes, Pembroke retained the lead in the West, but Llangwm are now only two points behind, winning 26-18 at Furnace despite a splendid effort by the home side.

Cilfynydd drew level with South wales Police on 30 points in the South-East after a 58-0 mauling of Old Penarthians and the Police had a bye. Porth, Cefn Coed and Penallta all stayed in the hunt after all gaining three-pointers.
