OSPREYS EXCITED BY COMING SEASON

With the Heineken Cup, Anglo-Welsh Cup and Celtic League fixtures now in place, the club confirmed that next season will see the Ospreys face the toughest series of fixtures ever presented to any Welsh team.

Ospreys joint Managing Director Mike Cuddy commented: “You cannot fail to be excited when you look at the fixture list that we will be presenting to our supporters, with a minimum of sixteen competition fixtures scheduled against the best sides in the Northern Hemisphere.

“We are in the process of agreeing the opening game at our new regional rugby stadium against Zurich League winners Wasps, as well as being on the verge of confirming a historic fixture against the Barbarians.

“Going into next season as Celtic League Champions gives us confidence that we will be able to compete against the best, and I hope to see matches played in front of packed houses at both our new regional rugby Stadium at Morfa and at the Gnoll.”

“We are the only region to have fully grasped what regional rugby is all about and I am sure supporters will be keen to get on board now our fixture list is clear. We have already sold over 2,500 season tickets. Although I am pleased that we have surpassed last years level of season ticket sales, with the issues surrounded the Celtic League now resolved I am sure we will see another rush from supporters.

“Our season ticket holders will be able to watch the highest quality rugby ever seen in this area, in the best club ground in the United Kingdom, with the most entertaining players on show. This is what top class rugby football is all about, and it is an opportunity not to be missed.”

The Ospreys can now confirm the following home fixtures (13 fixtures are to be played at the new regional rugby Stadium with the balance played at The Gnoll). Season ticket packages start from only £125 for adults and £30 for children under fourteen.

Season ticket holders will be able being able to watch a minimum of sixteen home Heineken Cup, Anglo-Welsh Cup and Celtic League fixtures (latter/knock-out stages of competitions are excluded from the ticket). The Ospreys also hope to secure a minimum of two top quality friendly fixtures to be finalised over the next few weeks.
