Over the past couple of seasons Cardiff winger Dewi Cross, and Pontypool duo Scott Matthews and Morgan Allen along with Carmarthen Quins’ Lewys Millin have been consistent and regular performers and once again they are making their presence felt in the first edition of SRC.
Cross has been in impressive form for Cardiff, having beaten 31 defenders in the opening rounds, nearly double his nearest challenger who is Bridgend’s McCauley Rowley with 17.
But when it comes to line-breaks, Pontypool duo Morgan Allen and Daniel Hill lead the way with five, with Bridgend centre Tom Florence and RGC’s Sam Williams close behind on four apiece.
RGC players are beginning to make an impact having posted some impressive victories in the opening four rounds.
Talisman Arfon Bagshaw has made a nuisance of himself in the battlefield, having been involved in 12 ‘post tackle’ actions while he is also second in the pecking order for turnovers won with eight, with Pontypool’s Scott Matthews just one ahead with nine.
The north Walians are also well represented in the tackles department too, with both Ethan Fackrell and Tal Taylor closing in on Carmarthen Quins’ Lewys Millin who has made the most tackles (46).
The RGC duo have 39 tackles next to their name, with Fackrell in particular looking to make up for lost time having most of last season decimated through injury.
