Ben Breakspear will be the man in the middle at the Recreation Ground with fellow countrymen Ben Connor and Mike English running the line with Adam Jones the Television Match official.
“It is pleasing to see Ben Breakspear’s performance and potential rewarded with one of the most, if not the most difficult game of the U20’s between England and France in Bath,” said WRU national elite performance manager, Ian Davies.
“Ben will ably be assisted by a full Welsh team of officials with Ben Connor and Mike English supporting him from the touch line and Adam Jones from the TMO Box.”
Jones will also be the TMO when Scotland host Italy at the Hive in the opening round of fixtures and travels to the north of England for round three to take up the same role when England take on arch rivals Scotland in Newcastle.
Breakspear will be an assistant referee when England take on Italy in round four at the Rec, while in the final round of matches Adam Jones is TMO for the Italy v Ireland clash in Treviso while Breakspear and Connor team up again as assistant referees at Stade Jean Bouin when France host Scotland in Paris.
In the Guinness men’s Six Nations Craig Evans will run the line when Italy tackle France at Stadio Olimpico with countryman Ben Whitehouse in the TMO booth on Sunday 23 February.
Evans has also been selected as an assistant referee for the round four clash at Allianz Stadium where England host Italy.
In the Guinness women’s Six Nations, Amber Stamp-Dunstan has been selected for three successive rounds as an assistant referee.
She will run the line at Virgin Media Park when Ireland host England in Cork in the third round before heading to Leicester for the fourth round clash between England and Scotland at Mattoli Woods Welford Road Stadium before rounding up her campaign in Edinburgh where Scotland entertain Ireland at Hive Stadium.
Davies added: “In this year’s Six Nations we are fortunate to get representation across both men’s, women’s and U20’s.
“Unfortunately we yet again are without representation in the middle of the men’s tournament with only two referees from the United Rugby Championship making up the team of 13 referees at this year’s competition.
“In the female game, Amber Dunstan-Stamp has a run of three games as an assistant and fingers crossed she can make a final push to be the first ever female official to represent Wales at a Rugby World Cup.
