Welsh internationals Gwennan Hopkins returns at Number 8 with Sian Jones back at scrum half.
Prop Cana Williams is selected at prop, alongside Welsh international Maisie Davies and Molly Wakely in the front row.
Lily Terry moves to second row to partner Alaw Pyrs in the Lightning engine room.
Rhodd Parry is selected as full-back, with Courtney Greenway moving to one wing with Caitlin Lewis on the other wing.
Kelsie Webster and Anwen Owen are a new and exciting centre partnership for Lightning, with experienced centre Kerin Lake ruled out due to a leg injury.
Catrina Nicholas-McLaughlin, Gwalia Lightning head coach, said: “We are well aware that Edinburgh will be hurting after last weekend and we will have to be aware of the threats they posed in our last game.
“We showed character and resilience in defence and the ability to play attacking rugby and that is very much part of the identity we want to establish as Gwalia Lightning.
“We deserve to be second in the league but it does mean teams will raise their game against us and we have to deal with that. Ourselves and Edinburgh want to attack and play, and we expect it to be another close and exciting contest.”
