Gavin Thomas
Gavin Thomas made his international debut in 2001 against Japan and scored his first Welsh try a week later against the same opposition. He was included in the summer touring squad of Argentina after a three-year hiatus from the international scene. He played in both tests and impressed in the loose.
Thomas plays for Llanelli Scarlets, but has previous experience at club level with Bridgend, Bath and the Ospreys. He gained two tries for his club during the 2006–2007 season.
Thomas was named in Gareth Jenkins's 32-man squad ahead of the 2006 Invesco Perpetual Series; he appeared in the clash against the Pacific Islands. He was called into the national squad for the 2007 RBS Six Nations, coming on as a blood and later as a full replacement against Ireland.
In May 2007, Thomas was included in the Welsh squad for the two-Test tour to Australia and played in both Tests. Thomas was named in Wales's 41-man preliminary Rugby World Cup 2007 summer training squad in June, but unfortunately failed to make the final cut.
