Ryan made his senior Wales debut as a starter against the Barbarians in June 2011. His next eight caps all came from the replacements’ bench, but he was a starter again in the 22-18 win over Japan in Osaka in June 2013.
Ryan has represented Wales at Under 18, 19 and 20 levels, playing in 29 out of 32 possible age grade internationals over that period. He played for Porthcawl, Bridgend and Aberavon before representing the Ospreys.
