Ryan has captained Wales more times than anyone else, leading the side on 32 occasions.
He made his Test debut against South Africa in 2004 and played in four of the 2005 Grand Slam matches. He then captained Wales to the 2008 Grand Slam, appeared in all five Tests in the 2012 Grand Slam, and three in the Championship win of 2013.
Ryan has been a part of all four Celtic League winning squads with the Ospreys, as they became the first to win that title on four occasions in Dublin in 2012.
