Johnny McNicholl
Cap No 1154
The Kiwi full-back/winger qualified for Wales on residency grounds and made his debut for Wales in an uncapped game against Barbarians in November 2019.
His first two caps came as a replacement against France and Ireland in the 2020 Guinness Six Nations before he made his first start against Italy.
Prior to his arrival at the Scarlets, he starred for New Zealand provincial side Canterbury and for the Crusaders in Super Rugby before joining the Scarlets in 2016.
He made an instant impact, scoring on his debut against Leinster and was a potent attacking force in the region’s title triumph the same season. He crossed for a superb hat-trick of tries in the PRO14 final defeat to Leinster in Dublin the following year, and was nominated for the PRO14 player of the season in 2018-19 – the same season he was voted the Scarlets players’ player of the season.
He was drafted into the inaugural Autumn Nations squad prior to the second round match against Georgia.
