Sam Parry
Cap No 1157
Haverfordwest-born Parry made Wayne Pivac’s 2020 autumn training squad three years after any previous involvement with Wales – in May 2013 he was selected in the Wales training squad for the summer tour to Japan and was also called up to the 2014 Six Nations squad.
Parry began his rugby career at Llandovery before joining the Scarlets Under 18s and then the Newport Gwent Dragons academy. He made his senior debut for Newport Gwent Dragons against Bath on 15 October 2011 and also played for Wales U20 in the same season.
The physical and hard-hitting hooker joined the Ospreys for the 2014-15 season and was just short of a century of appearances for the region (98) when called up by Pivac for the autumn series.
He holds the distinction of being the only forward to score two try hat-tricks in the Pro14.
