Samson Lee

Samson Lee is a former pupil of Coedcae Comprehensive School in Llanelli. His early rugby was also played at Felinfoel RFC. He joined the Scarlets at U16 level and progressed through their Academy system. He played club rugby for Ammanford RFC before making 15 appearances over two seasons for Llanelli in the Premiership.
He was one of the stars of the 2012 Junior World Championship in South Africa where he played an integral role in Wales Under 20 beating the Junior All Blacks for the first time as they reached the semi-finals. He formed an all-Scarlets front row in South Africa, packing down alongside Rob Evans and Kirby Myhill.
He made his senior debut for the Scarlets in a pre-season friendly against Narbonne in August, 2012, and went on to make 28 appearances for the region during his first senior season. He was called up for the Wales Squad for the Autumn Series that year while still a teenager to act as cover for the injured Adam Jones and finally made his senior Wales debut a year later when he came off the bench in a 40-6 win over Argentina on 16 November, 2013.
Named in the 2013/14 ‘PRO12 Dream Team’, he represented Wales at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and was a prominent figure in the Scarlets side that won the Guinness PRO12 title in Dublin in 2017. He also played in the 2018 final defeat to Leinster in Dublin.
