With Leicester Tigers beating Northampton Saints over the weekend it means the Blues youngsters only need a draw in their final game against the Tigers on Saturday to qualify for the knock-out stages.
In becoming the first team to beat Wasps at their new home at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, the Blues overturned a 25 point deficit that had seen the home side lead 42-17 thanks to a try double by former Blues and Wales Under 20 flanker Thomas Young and four other tries.
But lock Normandale matched Young’s effort with two tries of his own and other tries came from Macauley Cook, Lewis Jones, Lucas Amorosino and Seb Davies. Rhys Patchell chipped in 15 points from the boot and he converted all four second half tries.
Having clawed their way back into the game at 42-38, it was Normandale who clinched victory for the Blues with his second try in injury time to make it three wins out of three in the competition for the Welsh region.
