Rachel Taylor’s side took the game to their hosts in the early stages and held England to 6-3 but once Emily Scarratt scuttled over for her first try in the 23rd minute, England cut loose to torment Wales with their lethal finishing.
Scarratt proved a constant menace from full back along with wingers Katherine Merchant and Kay Wilson as fly half Katy Mclean spread the ball wide at every given opportunity to utilise the wide pitch.
Wales backrowers Nia Davies and Sioned Harries hustled and harried England scrum half La Toya Mason in the opening exchanges to frustrate England but once the hosts settled into their routine, Wales were left chasing shadows.
Having lost to France in their Six Nations opener, England have now beaten Scotland, Ireland and Wales to keep the pressure on France at the top of the table.
Robyn Wilkins slotted a penalty in the 19th minute in response to two earlier England penalties but that was as good as it got for Wales.
In the 23rd minute a grisp backline move involving Amber Reed and Rachael Burford set Scarratt free for her first try of the evening and she quickly followed that with her second.
Wales were then guilty of failing to find touch as the clock ticked over 40 minutes and England accepted the challenge and ran the ball back for the experienced Scarrett to turn provider when she set up Kay Wilson for a try to go down the tunnel 23-3 ahead.
England scored their fourth try through replacement wing Natasha Brennan on debut with her first touch.
Veteran Maggie Alphonsi completed the scoring with England’s fifth and final try as they inflicted a fourth defeat from four games onto Wales.
