The Blues were without 20 players due to a combination of international call-ups and injuries and they were put to the sword by Worcester, who claimed their first win in 15 matches.
Rob O’Donnell, James Stephenson and Max Stelling all crossed as the visitors took advantage of defensive lapses to lead 21-6 at half-time.
The Blues battled back in the second-half with Thomas Young crossing the whitewash and Simon Humberstone keeping the scoreboard ticking but it was not enough.
Worcester made a commanding start at the Arms Park but Ignacio Mieres hit the uprights with an early penalty as the Blues weathered the storm.
The hosts took the lead through the boot of Davies on nine minutes after the Warriors were penalised at a scrum and the fly-half doubled their lead after James Stephenson was caught holding on.
But the Warriors came storming back and Jake Abbott laid the foundations for O’Donnell to steamroll Lewis Jones, with Mieres converting.
They claimed a second try on 26 minutes with Paul Hodgson breaking down the blindside to release Stephenson, who stepped inside the Blues’ scrum-half with ease to score on his debut.
Mieres added the extras and the Blues were dealt a blow when fl half Gareth Davies hobbled off.
Matters were made worse when Stelling burst through and danced past Dan Fish before evading Daf Hewitt to score.
Mieres was once again on target as the Blues entered the break trailing 21-6.
The Blues hit-back shortly after the break, they put Worcester under pressure at the scrum and Jones caught Paul Hodgson in possession. The ball came loose and Young pounced to give the Blues a glimmer of hope.
Davies’ replacement Humberstone converted and added a penalty mid-way through the half as the Blues fought back but the Warriors hung on.
