The former Neath, Aironi, London Welsh and Wales U18 head coach Rowland Phillips was appointed in July 2016.
Former dual code international Phillips, who has also been defence coach for the Ospreys and Wales and coached Viadana, won the British & Irish Cup with London Welsh in season 2015/2016.
He took charge in 2016 and led Wales to an unbeated streak in the autumn against Scotland and UK Armed Forces and continued a winning start prior to the 2017 Six Nations campaign with wins against Spain and Ireland in their warm-up games.
