The Ospreys front row began life as a footballer, specialising between the posts as a goal-keeper. He played for Rhondda Schools and had a stint with Swansea City.
He first started rugby relatively late, when joining Pontypridd at Under 15s. He also played for Treorchy and went through Cardiff Blues U16s and U18s before signing with the Ospreys in 2021.
He has spent the last two seasons learning his trade with Swansea in the Indigo Prem and follows cousins Ethan Fackrell and Garyn Smith who have previously also represented Wales U20s.
