Minto began life as a centre before moving into the back row as a 12-year-old, following in the footsteps of his mother Philippa, who represented Wales Women as a formidable back row.
He attends Gloucester Hartpury and earned a man of the match award in his debut for Hartpury in a Championship match against Cambridge in Ocotber 2024.
Like his Wales U20 back row colleague Ryan Jones, Minto came through the pathway at Pontypool United and Pontypool Schools.
